Promoting innovation, maximizing the potential of Blockchain technology

Within the framework of Da Nang Finance and Technology Week 2025, Vietnam Blockchain Day 2025 took place on August 29, at the Da Nang City Administrative Center.

Attending the event were comrade Pham Dai Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee; representatives of Da Nang city leaders; diplomatic agencies, international guests; and more than 300 delegates who are policy makers, leading experts, pioneering enterprises, domestic and foreign technology communities, speakers, and experts with rich experience in research, application and management of Blockchain technology development.

In his opening speech, Comrade Pham Dai Duong emphasized that Vietnam has been demonstrating strong determination in promoting the national digital transformation process. The development and application of new technologies, including blockchain technology, is extremely important for Vietnam to improve its competitiveness and integrate more deeply into the international digital economy .

Comrade Pham Dai Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission, delivered the opening speech.

Accordingly, Blockchain technology is one of 11 strategic technology fields that Vietnam has identified as a priority for investment, mastery and development, focusing on strategic technology products and services such as digital assets, encrypted assets; Blockchain network infrastructure and traceability systems.

At the same time, the digital asset and crypto asset ecosystem in Vietnam is also identified as one of the key areas in which the State has specific and outstanding incentive mechanisms and policies to promote the development of the International Financial Center in Vietnam.

Discussion at Vietnam Blockchain Day 2025.

Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee Pham Dai Duong said that the potential application of Blockchain in areas such as: Digital assets, financial technology (Fintech), product traceability, digital data management, information authentication... can open up new development space for the digital technology industry, promote innovation, create a competitive environment, and form an ecosystem of businesses with the capacity to reach out globally.

Thereby, bringing Vietnam into the group of leading countries in the region and the world in applying and developing blockchain technology as the goal set out in the National Strategy on application and development of blockchain technology by 2030.

At Vietnam Blockchain Day 2025, leading speakers from Vietnam, Singapore, UK, etc. presented 7 papers on Blockchain trends, asset tokenization, stablecoins and digital asset markets.

At the same time, 6 thematic seminars will take place revolving around the legal framework, open Blockchain infrastructure, smart cities, tokenized markets, the role of exchanges, auditing standards, etc.; Public-private dialogue: Shaping the future of digital assets in Vietnam; Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the Blockchain field.
