Promote the sustainable development of domestic football

VHO - On August 21, within the framework of the working program with member organizations, the working delegation of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) led by President Tran Quoc Tuan visited and worked with the Thanh Hoa Football Federation.

On behalf of Thanh Hoa Football Federation, reporting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duy Tu, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, Permanent Vice President of Thanh Hoa Football Federation, reviewed the outstanding results in recent times: The community football movement has spread widely, youth training has been focused on, and many member clubs have operated in a disciplined manner.

In particular, Dong A Thanh Hoa Club has affirmed its position in the domestic arena with the 2023 National Cup championship, the 2023/24 National Super Cup and successfully maintained stability in V.League 1. Youth teams regularly win medals in national tournaments, while school football and community football activities attract thousands of young people to participate.

In addition to the achieved results, Thanh Hoa football still faces difficulties in terms of facilities, financial resources and human resources, especially in rural and mountainous areas; at the same time, it is recommended that the Vietnam Football Federation support the training of coaches and referees, host national tournaments and create conditions for local officials and coaches to participate in training courses and exchange experiences.

Speaking at the meeting, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the efforts and dynamism of Thanh Hoa Football Federation, and emphasized that Thanh Hoa is one of the localities that has made progress in line with the Vietnam Football Development Strategy to 2020, vision 2030, and now the Vietnam Football Development Strategy to 2030, vision 2045.

President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan noted that, for sustainable development, Thanh Hoa needs to pay attention to training and developing human resources from coaches, referees to amateur guides. The Vietnam Football Federation will support by organizing training courses and is ready to coordinate to bring national amateur football tournaments to the locality.

Regarding the development of clubs and improvement of facilities for training and competition, Chairman Tran Quoc Tuan affirmed that the VFF will continue to accompany the province in supporting written recommendations to competent authorities, provided that the locality fully prepares specific proposals.

VFF grants funding to support administrative and office work in 2025 to Thanh Hoa Football Federation

President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan also highly appreciated the proposal to build a rehabilitation hospital for Thanh Hoa football athletes, saying that this is a direction in line with modern development trends.

President Tran Quoc Tuan said that the VFF has cooperated with Vinmec Sports Medicine Center - a unit recognized by AFC as an excellent Sports Medicine Center and is ready to coordinate and support Thanh Hoa in this field.

VFF always attaches importance to accompanying member federations, considering this the key to developing Vietnamese football from the roots, building a solid foundation for success at the professional level and the national team.

This is not only an important step to strengthen local sports but also contributes to promoting the sustainable development of Vietnamese football nationwide.
