Luxury fashion brand Lacoste had to change its 92-year-old logo to honor Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic.

The Sun newspaper reported that the fashion brand had to change its traditional logo of a green crocodile to a logo of a green goat.

Goat in English is "GOAT", also an abbreviation of Greatest Of All Time. In sports culture, GOAT is used to honor "the greatest athlete of all time".

For example, Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo are considered the GOAT of football.

Lacoste's move to switch to a green goat logo for its limited edition polo shirt line is a practical move to honor Djokovic on the occasion of his participation in the 2025 US Open.

Fans were delighted when Lacoste announced the product in a video on social media. Djokovic has been associated with the brand for the past 8 years. Many fans praised and expressed their delight at the brand's move and said Djokovic deserved to be honored in such a unique way.

Djokovic will begin his journey to conquer the US Open 2025 with a match against Vietnamese-born Learner Tien in the first round. The Serbian tennis player is aiming for his 25th Grand Slam title in history.
