UEFA Champions League: A night of change in Munich
On the night of May 31, all European and world football roads turned to Munich, the capital of Bavaria (Germany), where the magnificent Allianz Arena witnessed the historic match between PSG and Inter Milan in the final of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) for the 2024-2025 season, as an affirmation of the class of the most prestigious club tournament in the world.
Before the match, the atmosphere was filled with anticipation for an extremely tense final, with a fiery clash between Luis Enrique's ball-controlling football style from the famous La Masia academy, and the excellent defense of Inter Milan's veteran defenders. After only "being behind for 17 minutes all season", they reached the UCL final for the second time in the last 3 seasons.
This match will go down in history as the first encounter between PSG and Inter Milan in the UCL - showing how obscure PSG were in Europe before being sold to Arab owners for just 50 million euros. But even those involved never thought that the Allianz Arena and European football would witness such a night of change with many records and memorable historical milestones being born like that.
PSG played an excellent match under the enthusiastic cheers of home fans.

Never before has a team lost 2 goals in the first 20 minutes, never before has a team lost 5 goals in the UCL final, the 5-0 victory was the first in 70 years of the final, Desire Doue was the youngest player to contribute to 3 goals... the young, talented and ambitious PSG team suffocated, threw away and swept away the aging Inter Milan, turning the final into their solo show, creating the most brilliant affirmation of the new king of European football.
The way PSG surpassed the four-goal mark previously set by great giants such as Real Madrid (1960), Bayern Munich (1974) or AC Milan (1989, 1994) marked another successful project of the Arab owners in their ambition to integrate and change the flow of European football, in the prestigious UCL playground.
Inter Milan will never have a hellish night at the Allianz Arena and return home with only 1 fan welcoming them at the airport. But for PSG and coach Luis Enrique and his team, it was a night of paradise, where wishes were fulfilled, opening up the dream of a football empire from France that will have a strong influence like the traditional giants Real Madrid, Barcelona (Spain), AC Milan (Italy), Bayern Munich (Germany)... As for UEFA and UCL, the performance on the night of May 31 continues to be a confirmation at the highest level of the tournament's class, which is always positioned at the top of the world's prestige.

During those emotional days, the author had the opportunity to accompany the special fan group, especially partners, distributors, and true fans from Vietnam... at the invitation of Heineken - the long-time official sponsor of the UEFA Champions League.
The Vietnamese delegation with more than 60 members, including singer Tuan Hung and artists Cris Phan, Phuong Ly and juggler Do Kim Phuc, flew from Ho Chi Minh City to Munich on high-quality flights of Emirates airline (sponsoring the home stadium of Arsenal Club - PV), and was welcomed by the Organizing Committee with respect and care with standards from hotels, accommodation, transportation... luxurious as the class of the world's leading club tournament.
During their 2 days in Munich, the special Vietnamese fans had an interesting experience of the exciting atmosphere of the famous Bavarian beer festivals, enjoying local specialties such as BBQ, twisted bread, white sausage, roasted pork leg...
But even when welcoming thousands of fans, especially guests from China, Africa, Europe... the Organizing Committee and Heineken still have the sophistication with a menu that cleverly integrates Asian dishes such as mushroom rice, chicken curry... still ensuring unity in the common flavor of a European football festival.

Whether at the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk art center or the von Alm Das Beste GmbH & Co. KG event space located in the golf, horse racing, restaurant complex..., Heineken's global partners have the opportunity to meet a series of world football stars such as Roberto Carlos, Bastian Schweinsteiger... or transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in an open atmosphere, with music and beer of the German beer festival standard.
Most notably, many activities of a series of large and small events before, during and after the final match took place together smoothly and rhythmically with minute-by-minute precision in both time and script, demonstrating the top-notch organizational ability for major sporting events, just like the way the Allianz Arena Organizing Committee demonstrated its class in helping thousands of fans flood the field back to the stands smoothly and peacefully after PSG's coronation ceremony.
Before the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee proactively lowered the goal net near the PSG fans' area. Hundreds of riot police lined up but not close to the billboard but moved back to the 16m50 area to create a reasonable buffer of several dozen meters.
Thanks to that, thousands of enthusiastic PSG fans suddenly flooded the field, took the opportunity to cut the net, dig the grass, take pictures with their idols as a souvenir for their first UEFA Champions League victory when they were informed that they were satisfied and returned to the stands, the team withdrew safely (PSG midfielder Joao Neves was discovered also taking the opportunity to cut a piece of the net to bring home) without encountering any scuffles. Everyone was happy and satisfied!
The quality of football, cuisine and professional organization combined to create a resonance, helping the participants of the final match in Munich have an exciting football experience, similar to the premium football taste proven over 70 years of the UEFA Champions League.
