Standing Secretariat visits and presents Tet gifts to Nu Village people

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Visiting and presenting gifts at the cultural center of Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Standing Committee member of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu sent words of encouragement and support to the people of the Lang Nu resettlement area to stabilize their lives after the natural disaster.


On January 16th, Mr. Tran Cam Tu, Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee , along with a delegation, visited and presented Tet gifts to war invalids, families of policy beneficiaries, poor households, households whose houses were completely destroyed by Typhoon No. 3, and disadvantaged workers in Bao Yen district.

During a visit and gift-giving ceremony at the Lang Nu village cultural center in Phuc Khanh commune, the Standing Committee of the Party Central Committee extended his condolences and encouragement to the people of the Lang Nu resettlement area. Mr. Tu expressed his emotion and joy at seeing Lang Nu village revived strongly, with its residents now having new, safe, spacious, and clean homes.

To ensure the true development of Nu Village, Standing Committee member of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu urged the villagers to continue upholding the spirit of "mutual support and compassion," the fine tradition of "national solidarity and brotherhood," and to work together to overcome all difficulties and challenges, determined to restore production and stabilize their lives after the natural disaster.

On behalf of the people of Lang Nu village, village head Hoang Van Hiep expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders of the Party and State, and especially to Standing Committee member of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu, for always showing special care and affection for the people of Lang Nu village.

Here, Standing Committee member of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu presented 33 Tet gifts to families in the Lang Nu resettlement area.

On this occasion, Standing Committee member of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu also presented 50 Tet gifts to war invalids, policy beneficiary families, poor households, and families whose houses were completely destroyed by typhoon No. 3, and donated 1 billion VND to the "For the Poor" fund of Lao Cai province.

Previously, immediately after receiving information about the flash flood disaster in Nu Village, on the afternoon of September 11, 2024, Dan Tri newspaper published issue number 240502 titled "Disaster in Lao Cai: Entire village wiped out - Let's join hands to rebuild Nu Village".

As of the afternoon of September 12, 2024, the amount of money donated by readers to Dan Tri newspaper through code 240502 was 1,324,423,621 VND. Given the urgent need for early reconstruction after the floods, journalist Pham Tuan Anh, Editor-in-Chief of Dan Tri newspaper, decided to use funds from the Humanitarian Fund to raise the full amount of 2 billion VND to send to the Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province to rebuild Nu Village.
