The Standing Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee agreed on the investment policy to build two high schools, Mac Dinh Chi and Ngo Quyen.

The Mac Dinh Chi High School Construction and Expansion Investment Project, Phase 1, has a total estimated investment of more than 224 billion VND and the upgrading and construction of Ngo Quyen High School is more than 113 billion VND.

On the morning of July 17, comrade Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee agreed on the policy of the Project to invest in the construction and expansion of Mac Dinh Chi High School, phase 1, and the Project to invest in upgrading and building Ngo Quyen High School.

According to the report of the City Party Committee, to implement the Investment Project to build the Ring Road 2 section Tan Vu - Hung Dao - Bui Vien, about 4,924.2 m2 of land from Mac Dinh Chi High School in Hung Dao Ward was recovered. The remaining area of ​​the school does not ensure the minimum area according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training . In addition, on the planned recovered land area, there are a number of school works. The remaining facilities after recovery do not meet the needs of learning and teaching and do not ensure the regulations on standards of facilities for high schools.

The Mac Dinh Chi High School Construction and Expansion Investment Project Phase 1 has a total investment of more than 224 billion VND from the budget. The project will build the following works: 4-storey administrative building with a construction area of ​​about 701m ² ; 1 4-storey classroom building with an area of ​​about 1,207m ² ; 4-storey functional classroom building with an area of ​​about 787m ² ; a multi-purpose building with an area of ​​about 853m ² ; a teacher parking area of ​​about 315m ² ... and invest in purchasing and installing equipment and machinery for learning; air conditioning, fire prevention and fighting system.

The Project to Upgrade and Rebuild Ngo Quyen High School is located at 2 Me Linh, Le Chan Ward. The project aims to meet the infrastructure requirements, improve the quality of education and ensure the facilities are suitable according to the standards of a national standard school at level 2. The project will build 5-storey classroom blocks with a floor area of ​​about ^8,590m2 ; build technical infrastructure outside the house and auxiliary works; purchase and install equipment for learning, elevators, air conditioners, fire protection systems... The project has a total estimated investment of more than 113 billion VND from the budget.

Both projects will be implemented in 2025 - 2027.

Concluding the above content, Comrade Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the City Party Committee, requested the City People's Committee to direct relevant departments and units to implement the projects in accordance with regulations, paying attention to ensuring standards, criteria, planning and appropriate use of resources. The implementation of the projects must be urgent and on schedule to ensure students' learning.

The Secretary of the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee requested the City Party Committee and People's Committee to direct the review and assessment of the system of schools and educational institutions in the city to classify, propose, and research and develop a project to ensure a systematic and long-term investment roadmap, closely following the requirements and tasks of the city; minimize the investment in small-scale repairs and renovations, especially in schools with buildings that are subject to preservation. At the same time, do a good job of student streaming and consolidate the system of vocational training facilities to meet the human resource needs of enterprises in Hai Phong City.
