On the evening of July 17, at 27-7 Square (Dai Phuc Commune, Thai Nguyen Province), Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) attended and directed the candle lighting ceremony and the art program "Echoing the immortal heroic song". The program was organized by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army under the direction of the Youth Union of the Army in coordination with the Political Department of Military Region 1, Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union and other agencies and units.

Speaking at the program, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh affirmed that he is proud of the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the nation. Together with the youth of the whole country, the youth of the Army and Thai Nguyen province always remember the great merits of the heroic martyrs, constantly strive, study, practice and have many practical, creative and effective activities and deeds to express deep gratitude to the previous generation. The art program "Echoing the immortal heroic epic" and gratitude activities in Thai Nguyen province are important highlights in the series of gratitude activities directed and organized by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh emphasized that the acts of gratitude in the program not only demonstrate the moral tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, the activity of “Repaying gratitude” of the youth of the Army and Thai Nguyen province; at the same time, it is a message spreading love and humanity in society. This is also a reminder for today’s young generation to live a more worthy and responsible life towards their ancestors, to constantly train and contribute to protect independence and freedom, and to build an increasingly developed, powerful and prosperous country.

During the art program, the guests and the audience enjoyed many special performances by the Army artists. In particular, they watched a very meaningful play - "Bright Eyes" staged by the Army Drama Theater (General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army).

The representative of the Organizing Committee presented the money to support the construction of a 100 dong house, a teammate house and school supplies to Hung Son 2 Kindergarten.
Representatives of the Organizing Committee presented 30 bicycles to 30 disadvantaged students in the area.
At the program, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh and delegates presented 78 gifts to policy families, each worth 1,500,000 VND and 30 bicycles to 30 students in difficult circumstances; presented support money to build 2 "100 VND Houses" (each worth 80 million VND) to special policy beneficiaries and 2 "Comrades' Houses", worth 60 million VND/house to military families in the area with difficult housing circumstances; presented school supplies worth 20 million VND to Hung Son 2 Kindergarten... The total cost of implementing the program's activities is about more than 1.5 billion VND.
