Thuy Hung: Lightning strike kills one person and injures another

According to information from the People's Committee of Thuy Hung Commune (Thai Thuy): At about 7:40 a.m. on May 28, a lightning strike occurred in the landslide area of the commune, killing one person and injuring another.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thai Thuy district presented support to the family of the victim who died from a lightning strike.

The deceased was Mr. TVH, born in 1974, residing in Tan Le commune (Hung Ha), working as a landslide worker; the injured was Mr. D.VG, residing in Gia Thinh commune, Gia Vien district ( Ninh Binh ), working as a train driver.

It is known that on the morning of the same day, Mr. TVH and Mr. Đ.VG were working in the landslide treatment area when they were suddenly struck by lightning, causing death and injury. Currently, Mr. Đ.VG was taken to the emergency room and his health condition is stable.

Currently, the authorities have completed the procedures to hand over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.

Immediately after receiving the information, representatives of the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Red Cross, and the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Thai Thuy district visited, expressed condolences, and supported the family of the deceased victim with 5 million VND; at the same time, hoped that the victim's family would try to overcome the immediate difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
