It seemed like the 1997-born tennis player was in trouble when her opponent led 14-10, but thanks to the coach's adjustments and determination, Thuy Linh scored each important point to equalize 19-19, before winning dramatically 22-20.

In the second set, Kjaersfeldt still had a good start, leading 6-4. But Thuy Linh then scored 4 points twice in a row to win 21-12, winning 2-0 to advance to the quarterfinals.

In the next round, Thuy Linh faced world number 15 Kim Ga Eun - who beat Japanese number 16 Aya Ohori 2-0.

The 2023 China Masters Badminton International Tournament is part of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour Super 750 system. The tournament brings together many strong players from around the world.

The total prize money of the tournament is up to 1 million USD. The champion receives 80,500 USD. The tournament takes place from November 21 to November 26 in Shenzhen, China.
