Actress Thuy Ngan faced skepticism and controversy from the audience when she took on the female lead role in a TV series adapted from the famous Korean film "Secret Love".
7 Years of Not Married Will Break Up (25 episodes) is a Vietnamese drama adapted from Secret Love - a Korean drama released at the end of 2013 with the participation of two actors Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum, which once "made waves" in Asia.
Therefore, right from the time the producer announced the Vietnamese version of this film, social networks have been filled with many conflicting opinions. Among them, actress Thuy Ngan has faced many controversies and doubts from the audience when taking on the female lead role (Hwang Jung Eum's role in the Korean version).

In the film, Thuy Ngan plays Thien An, a girl with a gentle and weak appearance. Vo Canh plays the role of the rich young master Minh Huy, warm, sweet, and with a strong personality.
Many people question Thuy Ngan’s acting ability in a role that is so psychological. In addition, audiences are also concerned that the Vietnamese version will have difficulty surpassing the original.
During the exchange on June 4 in Ho Chi Minh City, Thuy Ngan frankly responded: "When I read the Vietnamese script, I felt it was very different from the original from the setting, people to lifestyle. I completely focused on the current script, did not follow the old version and tried to work with the director to make it as smooth as possible.
When I read the comparative comments, I didn't feel too much pressure because at that time, the movie had already finished filming. With what I showed, I believe I did my best."
Thuy Ngan admitted that this role challenged her a lot. When she participated in the casting, she had to cry for hours to be selected by the director and producer. In the film, she was also beaten and cried a lot. "The crying scene took about 3 hours to film, about 7 scenes were filmed each day," the actress revealed.
Thuy Ngan believes that the audience is used to her strong, edgy and vibrant image. This time, transforming into a feminine and tearful character, the actress hopes that everyone will see a new image of her.

Actors such as Trung Dung, Jun Pham, Vo Canh... also shared many memories when filming with Thuy Ngan. Trung Dung said: "The scene where I hit Thuy Ngan was filmed for so long that I lost my voice. The director forced me to hit Thuy Ngan, and by the end, Thuy Ngan collapsed."
Sharing about the hot scene with Jun Pham and Vo Canh, Thuy Ngan said that her co-stars were all very serious and the filming also went quickly.
"Jun Pham and I were not too nervous because we knew each other before. Vo Canh and I had never met before so we were both very nervous, hoping to finish the scene as quickly as possible. The director revealed that the scene was very intense, luckily we both finished it smoothly," the actress shared.
Regarding the audience's concerns when adapting the Korean blockbuster, the producer affirmed that the Vietnamese version will have many changes to suit Vietnamese culture, life, and people, but still retain the beautiful message about sacrifice in love.
"The original version not only focuses on love but also reflects a lot about society, so when Vietnamizing it, we need to change a lot to suit Vietnamese culture and society, including changing the character diagram," director and screenwriter Nguyen Hoang Anh shared.
