Tien Giang: Approving the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units for the period 2023

(ABO) On April 24, the 12th Session of the People's Council of Tien Giang province, term X, passed a Resolution approving the policy of rearranging commune-level administrative units of Tien Giang province for the period 2023 - 2025.

According to the Resolution, for the administrative units of Chau Thanh district, the total natural area of Huu Dao commune is 4.75 ^km2 , the population is 4,966 people and the total natural area is 3.44 ^km2 , the population is 7,705 people of Duong Diem commune merged into Binh Trung commune. After the merger, Binh Trung commune has a natural area of 17.37 ^km2 and a population of 23,989 people.

Merge the entire natural area of 4.98 ^km2 and population of 15,284 people of Tan Ly Tay commune into Tan Hiep town. After the merger, Tan Hiep town has a natural area of 5.73 ^km2 and a population of 24,653 people.

For commune-level administrative units of My Tho City, the total natural area of 0.4 ^km2 and population size of 10,553 people of Ward 7 merged into Ward 1. After the merger, Ward 1 has a natural area of 1.18 ^km2 and a population size of 21,097 people.

The total natural area of Ward 3 is 0.54 ^km2 , the population is 10,530 people and the total natural area of Ward 8 is 0.7 ^km2 , the population is 11,101 people merged into Ward 2. After the merger, Ward 2 has a natural area of 1.95 ^km2 and a population of 34,510 people.

As a result of the reorganization of commune-level administrative units in Tien Giang province in the 2023-2025 period, Tien Giang province has 164 commune-level administrative units, including 135 communes, 21 wards and 8 towns. Chau Thanh district has 20 commune-level administrative units, including 19 communes and 1 town. My Tho city has 14 commune-level administrative units, including 8 wards and 6 communes.

* Also at this session, the Provincial People's Council passed a Resolution on renaming the neighborhoods in Ward 3 and Ward 4, Go Cong Town. Accordingly, for the neighborhoods in Ward 3, Go Cong Town: Neighborhood 1 is renamed to Neighborhood 6, Neighborhood 2 is renamed to Neighborhood 7, Neighborhood 3 is renamed to Neighborhood 8, and Neighborhood 4 is renamed to Neighborhood 9. After renaming the neighborhoods, Ward 3 has 4 neighborhoods, including: Neighborhood 6, Neighborhood 7, Neighborhood 8, and Neighborhood 9.

For the neighborhoods in Ward 4, Go Cong Town: Neighborhood 1 becomes Neighborhood 6, Neighborhood 2 is renamed Neighborhood 7, Neighborhood 3 is renamed Neighborhood 8, and Neighborhood 4 is renamed Neighborhood 9. After renaming the neighborhoods, Ward 4 has 5 neighborhoods, including: Neighborhood 5, Neighborhood 6, Neighborhood 7, Neighborhood 8, and Neighborhood 9.
