While Tien Linh has not returned to his official position in Binh Duong, the domestic striker position of the Southeast team belongs to former U23 national player Nguyen Tran Viet Cuong. This player has also scored a goal for Binh Duong in V-League, along with many other contributions to the team.

In the context of Cong Phuong's declining form, not playing regularly at Yokohama FC (Japan), Nguyen Van Tung and Nham Manh Dung are sometimes visible, sometimes not, Viet Cuong will be a good choice for coach Troussier in the Vietnam national team.
