Tien Phuoc supports 9.8 billion VND to develop garden economy and farm economy

In 2024, the total value of agricultural and forestry production in Tien Phuoc district will reach more than 873 billion VND, an increase of nearly 8% compared to the plan. The total food output will reach more than 22,800 tons, exceeding the plan by 15%, an increase of more than 560 tons compared to 2023.

The total value of industrial and construction production is estimated at VND 2,598 billion, an increase of 20.28% compared to 2023; the value of trade and services is estimated at VND 4,315 billion, an increase of more than 16.5%.

During the year, the district supported 279 gardens and one farm with a disbursement of VND 9.8 billion according to Resolution No. 35 of the Provincial People's Council. Up to now, the whole district has more than 5,000 hectares of gardens renovated, invested in, and intensively cultivated to improve economic efficiency; more than 500 gardens have met the criteria of green - clean - beautiful and effective.

Tien Phuoc district has basically completed 9/9 new rural criteria at the district level and has submitted documents to the Provincial People's Committee for appraisal; 14/14 communes have been recognized as meeting new rural standards, and Tien Ky town has been recognized as meeting civilized urban standards in 2024.

The number of schools meeting national standards increased by 2 schools, bringing the total number of schools meeting standards to 43/45 schools. In 2024, 97.6% of villages/blocks, 98.9% of clans and more than 97% of families will meet cultural standards.

The district has reduced the number of poor households by 67 and near-poor households by 26; the rate of poor households is currently 3.06% and near-poor households is 1.63%. The district has supported the construction of 53 houses for poor and near-poor households according to Resolution No. 13 of the Provincial People's Council with a budget of 1.89 billion VND.
