Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, currently on loan at Man Utd, shone with a double against Azerbaijan to help Austria start the Euro 2024 qualifiers smoothly, leading Group F after a resounding 4-1 victory in the early morning of March 25.
Marcel Sabitzer opened the scoring for Austria in the 27th minute, but it was his second goal in the 50th minute from a free kick just outside the box that left fans in awe.

From a distance of more than 25m, Sabitzer curled the ball with his right foot straight into the top corner and the Azerbaijan goalkeeper, despite jumping as far as he could, still could not touch the ball.
On social networks, many fans praised Sabitzer's free kick, even saying that the goal was more beautiful than Messi and Ronaldo's before the penalty area.

"Sabitzer with a tricky free kick. Better than Ronaldo and Messi," a fan commented.
With 2 goals, 1 assist, 3 key passes, and a 100% dribble success rate, Sabitzer's impressive statistics in 90 minutes on the pitch were rated 10/10 by statistics site Sofascore .
"I think Man Utd should sign him on a long-term deal after this free-kick," another excited fan said.
Sabitzer left Bayern to join Man Utd on loan in the final days of the transfer window in early 2023. The Austrian midfielder impressed with his ability to compete, shoot from long range, pass and is considered a quality backup option for Casemiro.
According to German media, Bayern have no plans for Sabitzer next season. Accordingly, Man Utd may be given the opportunity to buy the former Leipzig star after the 2022/23 season.
In the next round, Austria will face Estonia, while Azerbaijan will face Sweden.
