'Vietnam - China Friendship Song 2025': A harmony connecting two nations

The program "Vietnam - China Friendship Songs" brings a harmony of music and culture, contributing to connecting the two countries and two peoples of Vietnam and China.

On the afternoon of July 18, the art exchange program "Vietnam - China Friendship Singing 2025" took place at the Voice of Vietnam Theater (58 Quan Su, Hanoi), on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025).

The art exchange program "Vietnam - China Friendship Singing 2025" took place on the afternoon of July 18.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Ngo Minh Hien, Deputy General Director of VOV, emphasized that the comprehensive strategic cooperation relationship between the two countries is constantly being strengthened and developed.

In particular, VOV and Chinese media agencies, especially from Guangxi, have many effective cooperations in program production, reporter exchange, event organization and spreading beautiful stories about Vietnam - China relations on radio, television and digital platforms.

Strengthening cooperation between the press agencies of the two countries not only contributes to realizing high-level agreements between the two Parties and two States, but also opens up new development space in the context of booming digital media.

VOV Deputy General Director emphasized his hope that the two sides will continue to work together to promote practical and effective cooperation activities, thereby contributing to "building and strengthening the friendship between the people of the two countries, promoting a long-term and sustainable strategic partnership".

Mr. Ngo Minh Hien said that this is the second consecutive year that VOV has coordinated to organize “Vietnam-China Friendship Songs” with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Radio and Television Department, Guangxi Radio and Television Station, China. The program is becoming a meaningful annual activity.

Notably, this year’s event has the participation of Hong Kong Radio and Television. This is a new development, demonstrating the depth and breadth of the media and cultural cooperation between VOV and its Chinese partners, opening up many prospects for more exciting exchange activities in the future.

VOV hopes that “Vietnam-China Friendship Songs” is not only an art performance, but also a space for sharing, cultural exchange and harmony across borders. This will be a great harmony of tradition and contemporary, of identity and creativity, where each melody is a greeting, each performance is a message of friendship.

Deputy Director of Guangxi Radio and Television Department, Mr. Hoang Tri Hang affirmed: “Singing of Friendship” is a vivid proof of the “comradely and brotherly” sentiment between the two countries. He emphasized the connecting role of the media in telling good stories, fostering understanding and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and China.

The art part of the program was elaborately staged, bringing together many Vietnamese and Chinese artists. The opening was a medley of folk songs from three regions of Vietnam performed by the New Vitality Orchestra, followed by the songs Hanoi 12 Seasons of Flowers, The Pieu Scarf, The Song of Vietnamese-Chinese Youth, Our Love of the Silver Sea and Green Fields, and Spring Wind of Ten Thousand Miles.

In particular, the program was marked by the participation of students from the Central University of Art Education (Vietnam) and the Guangxi Academy of Arts (China), with vibrant performances of contemporary songs such as Rebirth, Blue and White Porcelain ...

Also participating in the program was singer Kandy Wong from Hong Kong with hits loved by the audience. Closing the program was a Vietnam - China choir performance, creating a symbolic image of solidarity and friendship between the two countries.
