The Central Vietnamese box turtle has the scientific name Cuora bourreti and weighs 0.8 kg. This is a rare and precious animal listed in the Vietnam Red Book and needs to be strictly preserved and protected.
Hue City Forest Protection Department is completing procedures and coordinating with relevant units to release the above-mentioned wild animals back into the natural environment according to regulations. Previously, on April 24, Hue City Forest Protection Department received 4 rare and precious wild turtles voluntarily surrendered by local people.
On the same day, the Quang Dien District Wildlife Sanctuary released a python with the scientific name Python molurus back into the wild. It is known that this wild animal was received by the Quang Dien District Wildlife Sanctuary from Mr. Nguyen Quang in Quang Phuoc Commune who voluntarily surrendered it on April 19.
