Receiving support for the Education sector to overcome the damage of storm No. 3

On the afternoon of September 13, at the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi received support for the education sector to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3 from Hong Ha Stationery Joint Stock Company.

In order to share the difficulties and join hands with theeducation sector to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3, Hong Ha Stationery Joint Stock Company has donated 4 billion VND, including 500 million in cash and 3.5 billion VND in school supplies. The funds and items will be transferred to the Vietnam Education Trade Union to support localities, schools, students and teachers.

Previously, on September 11, the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam Education Trade Union held a ceremony to launch the Education sector to support people affected by storm No. 3.

Here, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Education Trade Union, Minister Nguyen Kim Son called on the entire education sector, cadres, civil servants, public employees, staff, students, and organizations and individuals inside and outside the sector to join hands, contribute materially and spiritually, with support, encouragement, and connection to share difficulties with people in flood-hit areas in general and with the education sector of the provinces and cities in the Northern region in particular.

The Minister also noted that immediately after this fundraising launch, the support should be delivered to the beneficiaries as quickly as possible. Priority will be given to human support. First of all, it will be for teachers and students. These are teachers who have suffered losses and have difficulty with accommodation and transportation; and students who cannot go to school without support...

At the launching ceremony, leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, units and individuals inside and outside the education sector donated a total of more than 6.6 billion VND. Currently, the Vietnam Education Trade Union continues to receive support from organizations and individuals.

It is expected that the transfer of support to the beneficiaries will be carried out by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam Education Trade Union in the coming days.
