In the 2024-2025 school year, the whole province has 336 schools, 5,182 classes with 149,461 students. Preschool education is focused on comprehensive development, focusing on integrated methods, focusing on children as the center; diversifying forms of organizing activities to improve the quality of child care and education. In particular, focusing on developing the individual capacity of each child, applying information technology and digital transformation in management and organization of teaching. Some units boldly apply advanced educational methods such as Montessori, STEAM in teaching, especially for 5-year-old preschool children. Thereby, achieving remarkable results: 100% of 5-year-old preschool children complete the preschool education program; 97.8% of nursery school children meet the requirements, 98.8% of preschool children reach. This is a testament to the right attention from the education sector and the active support of parents.
The 2018 General Education Program continues to be implemented synchronously in grades 5, 9 and 12, ensuring the right orientation for developing students' qualities and abilities according to the requirements of the new program. The work of nurturing excellent students and tutoring weak students is organized in many forms suitable for each locality and facility. Thanks to that, the quality of mass education is increasingly stable and improved: the rate of primary school students completing the program is 99.73%; secondary school students is 97.98%; high school students is 99.32%, all increased compared to the previous school year.
Key education continues to affirm its position, the provincial Department of Education and Training promotes the organization of competitions and contests for students and achieves many outstanding results. The Provincial Science and Technology Research Competition attracted 81 participating projects, 56 projects won prizes. 3 typical projects competed at the national level, including 1 third prize and 2 promising prizes. In the 2024-2025 school year, Lai Chau has 701 students winning prizes in the provincial excellent student competition, 17 students winning prizes in the national excellent student competition. These results are clear evidence of the methodical investment, the work of discovering and nurturing talents is carried out seriously and effectively.

Mobilize school-age students to go to class, build national standard schools, and universalize literacy education to achieve and exceed the assigned plan targets. Direct the organization of safe, serious, and regulated competitions and exams, achieving good results. Coordinate well with media agencies to propagate and raise awareness among all classes of people. people about policies, guidelines as well as directions and management of state management levels on education and training, creating social consensus".

The average score of graduation exams is often higher than the average of the province and the whole country. Many students scored 25 points or more in the university entrance exam, some were honored as valedictorians of their exam groups. These achievements are the result of the constant efforts of teachers and students, the "sweet fruit" of the persistent struggle, demonstrating the school's solid position in the emulation movement of good teaching - good learning in the whole province".
