Provincial Farmers' Associations at all levels promote the supply of agricultural materials and equipment to members, farmers and people to serve production, contributing to the development of the agricultural sector in a modern direction, ensuring food hygiene and safety.
At the end of 2023, Phuong Nam Agricultural Service Cooperative (Uong Bi City) was established with the advice and support of the Ward Farmers' Association. The establishment of the cooperative aims to provide agricultural services, fertilizers, pesticides, crops, and livestock of guaranteed quality; at the same time, exploit and consume early-ripening lychees for households. Mr. Bui Van Tra, Chairman of the Ward Farmers' Association, said: Based on the fact that many households import agricultural materials of unknown origin, causing poor lychee productivity and low quality, the Ward Farmers' Association has guided the establishment of the service cooperative. The cooperative is responsible for providing quality agricultural materials to people, aiming at safe production, especially improving the output, value and brand of Phuong Nam early-ripening lychees.
Accompanying members and farmers in production, over the years, the Farmers' Association of Dam Ha district has maintained coordination with units to organize training and guidance on the use of materials, fertilizers, and pesticides of the right type, quality, and clear origin, in order to improve crop productivity. Mr. La Truong Tho, Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association of the district, said: The Association propagates, guides, answers questions related to how to identify real and fake fertilizers and pesticides, and their prices. Thereby contributing to promoting sustainable agricultural production.
In August 2024, the Provincial People's Committee chaired the Green Ha Long Organic Agriculture Cooperative (Quang Yen Town) in coordination with a number of agricultural production service cooperatives in Ha Long City to deploy a model of linking, supplying, and using vermicompost organic fertilizer to develop the Son Duong guava and Dan Chu medicinal herbs brands. Participating in this model, the Cooperative supports 50% of the vermicompost price/sao (360m2) for 4 pilot models. At the same time, it guides people on the process of using vermicompost organic fertilizer for plant care, in order to improve the soil, improve the quality and value of products, and create clean and safe agricultural products.
In recent times, Farmers' Associations at all levels have strengthened the supply of agricultural materials and equipment, especially coordinating and linking with enterprises supplying input materials (fertilizers, seeds, biological products, high-quality agricultural machinery, etc.) in the form of deferred payment, associated with the transfer of science and technology, preservation, processing, and consumption of products for farmers. At the same time, regularly providing information on prices of agricultural materials, agricultural products, epidemics, and diseases of crops and livestock to members and farmers through propaganda channels. From the beginning of 2024 to present, Farmers' Associations at all levels have coordinated and linked with enterprises to supply nearly 758 tons of various fertilizers and more than 300 tons of animal feed to members and farmers.
Farmers at all levels also organize training and guidance for farmers to exploit information about markets, prices, advanced production processes to serve production and business, promote products and services on e-commerce platforms, social networks; make safe and reliable electronic payments; participate in the database system to trace the origin of safe agricultural, forestry and aquatic products... At the same time, mobilize and support farmers to participate in OCOP fairs, agricultural festivals, and agricultural material exhibitions with hundreds of agricultural products displayed, introduced and consumed.
