The program has been running since 2018. For infrequent emergency support cases, the program provides an average of 2-3 assistance cases per month, with each assistance grant ranging from 10-20 million VND.

The family of Mr. Dang Hoang Dung (Hamlet 15, Vinh Hau Commune) was deeply moved when they received 10 million VND in emergency support from the program. Suffering from tongue cancer and unable to work, the entire family of four depends on his wife's income from selling lottery tickets . Therefore, this support has become a valuable source of encouragement, helping him to have the means to receive treatment and giving him renewed hope for life.

Red Cross officials personally handed over the financial assistance to Mr. Dang Hoang Dung and his wife, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Dan (Hamlet 15, Vinh Hau Commune).

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Dan confided: “The money from selling lottery tickets is only enough to cover daily living expenses, so where would I get the money for Mr. Dung's medication? Seeing him in pain and struggling with his illness breaks my heart. With this support, I will take him for treatment, hoping for some relief so he can prolong his life and stay with his wife and children. I am very grateful to the Red Cross and the Charitable Foundation for supporting my family; this money has helped my family overcome our difficulties.”

Similarly, Ms. Huynh Phuong Dao (43 years old, Hamlet 1, Bac Lieu Ward), a single mother raising two young children, recently received 15 million VND in support from the program for her medical treatment. Previously, she suffered a stroke that left her paralyzed on one side of her body, costing approximately 250,000 VND per day for medication and 2 million VND for rent, plunging the lives of the three of them into despair. This timely support is a source of encouragement, giving her the means to receive treatment and the strength to overcome her difficulties.
