Continued investment in transport infrastructure

Identifying that transportation must always be ahead and ahead, in recent years, in addition to promoting breakthrough development in socio -economic development, Quang Ninh has also focused on investing heavily in infrastructure, especially transportation infrastructure. Completed transportation projects and works have been effective, promoting economic development of localities in the project area.

Quang Ninh not only focuses on investing in transport infrastructure in urban and key areas, but also on transport infrastructure in rural, mountainous, border and island areas. The synchronous and comprehensive connection of transport between regions, villages and urban centers has contributed significantly to reducing regional gaps and promoting the economy of underdeveloped areas.

Continuing to make breakthroughs in developing transport infrastructure, at the 22nd Session, the 14th Provincial People's Council has just passed two important resolutions: Resolution No. 230/NQ-HDND dated November 5, 2024 on approving the investment policy of the Project to Upgrade Provincial Road 330, from Ba Che town to Provincial Road 342 and Resolution No. 229/NQ-HDND dated November 5, 2024 approving the investment policy of the Project to Upgrade Provincial Road 327 (from the main road of Dong Trieu city to Nam Mau intersection, Uong Bi city).

In particular, the Project to Improve and Upgrade Provincial Road 330, from Ba Che Town to Provincial Road 342, has a total estimated investment of no more than VND 990 billion, from the provincial budget with a total route length of about 23.5km, starting at Km10+700 - current Provincial Road 330 (gas station intersection area, Ba Che Town), ending at the intersection with current Provincial Road 342 (in Thanh Lam Commune, Ba Che District). The Project to Invest in Improving and Upgrading to ensure synchronization, scale of Grade III, mountainous roads (TCVN 4054:2005), 2 lanes, drainage system, traffic safety on the route. The expected capital allocation for the 2024-2025 period is about VND 300 billion; the remaining capital will be allocated in the medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period.

The project aims to gradually complete a synchronous and modern transport system according to the planning, connecting the center of Ba Che district with the highlands and connecting with the provinces of Bac Giang , Lang Son, and Ha Long City through provincial road 342 which is being invested in upgrading; creating a driving force for the development of the highlands of Ba Che district, contributing to narrowing the regional gap; promoting effective and sustainable socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in ethnic and mountainous areas.

As for the Project to Renovate and Upgrade Provincial Road 327 (from the main road of Dong Trieu City to Nam Mau intersection, Uong Bi City), the total length of the route is about 25.2km, the starting point intersects with the main road of Dong Trieu City at Km7+960 (in Tay Son village, Binh Khe ward, Dong Trieu City), the end point intersects with the road to Yen Tu at Km8+100 (at Nam Mau intersection, Thuong Yen Cong commune, Uong Bi City). The project is invested in renovation, expansion and upgrading to ensure synchronization, scale of grade III, mountainous roads (TCVN 4054:2005), 2 lanes; drainage system, traffic safety on the route. The total investment is expected to not exceed 230 billion VND, from the provincial budget. The capital arrangement for the 2024-2025 period is expected to be about 150 billion VND; The remaining capital will be allocated in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030.

The investment objective of the project is to gradually invest in synchronous routes according to the planning, meeting the travel needs of the people; connecting and promoting tourism development in the cultural and historical tourist areas of Ho Thien, Ngoa Van, Yen Tu, thereby attracting tourists to historical relics and scenic spots, creating momentum for socio-economic development associated with environmental protection, ensuring national defense and security.

In recent years, realizing the motto "All Quang Ninh people enjoy the fruits of development, inclusive growth and no one is left behind", the province has been investing in infrastructure from urban to rural, mountainous, border and island areas. Quang Ninh has been investing in traffic works to meet the requirements of interconnectivity, comprehensiveness, forming a smooth and convenient traffic network, thereby opening up new development space for localities, creating a common resource, a lever for the province's economic sectors to develop, contributing to the growth of Quang Ninh.
