BTO-Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited has just announced that in the past few days, there has been heavy rain in the upstream area of Long Song Lake. As of 7:00 a.m. on August 4, the water level of Long Song Lake was at +74.2 m and is continuing to rise.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydrometeorology, in the coming days, there will continue to be rain in the province. Therefore, to reduce flooding in the downstream area of the project when heavy rain occurs, the company will regulate water through the spillway of Long Song reservoir to maintain the flood prevention capacity of the project. The regulation time is at 8:00 a.m. on August 5 with a flow rate of 5 m3/s. After 3:00 p.m. on the same day, depending on the flow to the reservoir and the downstream situation, the water flow will increase from 30 - 150 m3/s.
