Dozens of houses were submerged by floodwaters and mud, leaving people in Muong Xen commune homeless. To help people overcome difficulties and support rescue forces, restaurants, eateries, and businesses cooked hundreds of free meals for the people.

Photo: CSCC Up to now, Muong Xen commune has 9 blocks and villages in the reservoir area and the downstream area of Nam Mo hydropower plant submerged in water from 1m to 3.5m deep, including: Nhan Cu village, Canh village, Binh Son 1, Cau Tam, Block 1, Block 2, Block 3, Block 4 and Block 5. Many villages are still isolated due to landslides on traffic routes and high flood water that covers the road surface... Currently, Ky Son electricity has stopped supplying electricity to the commune due to the impact of floods. The communication system is interrupted. Mr. Phan Ba Cuong - Vice Chairman of Muong Xen Commune People's Committee said that currently there are about 300 households isolated, losing their homes and property, and needing urgent relief of daily meals and drinking water.
