Finding strategic solutions to develop young party members to meet new requirements

Towards the 14th National Party Congress, based on the guidance of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, from the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, the Central Youth Union issued many plans and documents directing propaganda work, organizing activities to welcome the Congress, grasping the situation of union members, youth and children for party congresses at all levels and contributing to draft documents of the Congress.

Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers Nguyen Pham Duy Trang said: The process of giving opinions on the documents of the 14th National Party Congress, associated with the process of giving opinions on documents of the Party Congresses at the grassroots, upper-grassroots and provincial levels, has been implemented by Youth Union chapters at all levels with many diverse and creative methods.

Initial monitoring and synthesis shows that: 100% of grassroots, district and provincial-level unions have developed plans and organized activities to contribute opinions to the Congress documents; the contents of comments from youth across the country are highly appreciated by Party committees at all levels; there are many enthusiastic, frank, direct and objective opinions.

Commenting on the Document, the representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union said: in the period of 2019-2025, more than 500,000 outstanding members of the city named after Uncle Ho were introduced for the Party to consider and admit. Of these, more than 113,000 comrades were honored to join the Party, accounting for more than 50% of the total number of new Party members of the entire Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

From the above statistics, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union proposes that the Document should more clearly mention the policies and strategic solutions to create an environment and mechanisms to encourage, orient and improve the quality of the work of developing young party members; strengthen training, fostering, practicing and challenging so that the young party members after admission can truly promote their pioneering and exemplary role, contributing to building an increasingly clean and strong Party, meeting the requirements of the new period.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Hanoi City Youth Union proposed that the document analyze more deeply and frankly a number of theoretical and practical issues in order to perfect the guidelines in the new period. Specifically, it is necessary to clarify and delve into the subjective causes leading to the degradation of political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and the manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" in a number of cadres and party members.

From there, it is necessary to propose stronger and more radical solutions to overcome and rectify, especially in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity to resolutely revive culture and build comprehensively developed Vietnamese people. At the same time, further promote research and development of theories on digital governance and digital society, associated with innovation and application of technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management, expand democratic channels to listen and receive people's opinions in a timely and transparent manner.
