The body of a 4-month-old boy who fell into the Xeo Ro canal was found.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Xinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Bien Commune (An Giang Province) said that after more than a day of searching, at about 3:00 p.m. on October 21, the search team found the body of a 4-month-old boy who was suspected of falling into the Xeo Ro canal. The victim was found in Hamlet 5, An Bien Commune, nearly 3km from the child's house.

Previously, on the morning of October 20, the People's Committee of An Bien commune received information from Ms. Le Thi Kieu, the mother of a 4-month-old baby, reporting that her son had allegedly fallen into the Xeo Ro canal. Immediately after that, the leaders of the People's Committee directed the commune police to directly coordinate with the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of the U Minh Thuong area to deploy plans to search for the baby.

On October 20 and 21, the rescue forces, military and commune police used 3 aircraft to continue the search. Leaders of the People's Committee of An Bien commune, the Fatherland Front of the commune, and local mass organizations visited and encouraged the victim's family.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of An Bien Commune added that Ms. Kieu's family is in difficult circumstances, and the locality has initially supported the family with 10 million VND. In the coming time, the commune will continue to consider the situation to call for attention, care and support to help Ms. Kieu's family stabilize their lives.
