With the current trend, pepper prices are likely to fluctuate in the range of VND 141,000-143,000/kg, reflecting the balance of supply and demand. Dak Nong and Dong Nai may maintain high levels or increase slightly if exports are promoted, while Gia Lai and Binh Phuoc are at risk of maintaining VND 141,000/kg if demand is lacking.
Large orders from the EU or India could stimulate prices, especially for 550g/l pepper and white pepper. Farmers and businesses should monitor closely to manage inventories and avoid panic selling.
International market on June 12, 2025
The world pepper market on June 12, 2025 is forecasted to be flat, with a slight increase in some regions. Lampung black pepper price (Indonesia) reached 7,437 USD/ton, Muntok white pepper 10,142 USD/ton. Malaysian pepper is stable, with ASTA black pepper 9,150 USD/ton and ASTA white pepper 11,850 USD/ton.
