National love and compatriotism in the 188 houses - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- With high determination, the whole province strives to achieve the target of Resolution No. 188, dated October 25, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the subjects approved in the resolution before April 30, 2025. The projects have demonstrated the spirit of mutual love, national affection, and compatriotism, helping families settle down and have more motivation to improve their lives.

Implementing the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025 launched by the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Lang Son province have issued documents directing and implementing the movement. Specifically, on October 25, 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution 188 on implementing the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for people with revolutionary contributions, policy families, poor households, near-poor households, people affected by natural disasters and climate change in the province. The whole province strives to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for approved subjects before April 30, 2025, with a total of 2,472 works including: 951 newly built works and 1,521 repaired works.

Everyone contributes.

Comrade Nguyen Hoang Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses and the development of social housing in the province, said: Implementing Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Fatherland Front at all levels and member organizations have actively promoted and mobilized resources to support the implementation of the program. In particular, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to issue an Open Letter on mobilizing support for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in 2 phases; organized the launching and mobilization of support for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in 2 phases. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee directly sent the Open Letter and the plan to mobilize support for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses to agencies and organizations inside and outside the province; coordinated with press agencies in the province to promote information and propaganda on this content. Thereby, it has been actively supported by agencies, businesses, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province, all participating as a large "campaign" within the whole province.

As a result, as of April 10, 2025, the province has mobilized nearly 251 billion VND in cash and in-kind to support the program. From the received resources, nearly 180 billion VND has been spent to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses according to Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. This is not just a simple "campaign" but also a journey to build trust, foster humanity and create the future. Thereby affirming that this is a "command from the heart" to mobilize the cooperation and contribution of Party committees, authorities, political and social organizations, businesses, philanthropists and the people to participate.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Minh, Director of Thinh An Binh Company Limited, Yen Vuong Commune, Huu Lung District said: With the desire to contribute a small part to join hands with the province to support the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, in March 2025, we donated 300 million VND to join hands in implementing the program. We also hope that there will be more resources to join hands and contribute to help improve the lives of people in the area.

In addition, all levels, sectors, and mass organizations in the province also propagate and mobilize union members, association members, and people of all walks of life to support the construction and repair of houses for people according to Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, with the spirit of "Whoever has something contributes, whoever has merit contributes, whoever has property contributes, whoever has a lot contributes a lot, whoever has little contributes a little", creating a widespread, substantive, and effective movement.

For example, for the Provincial Police, implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Police undertook to support the construction and repair of 393 houses according to Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee in Loc Binh district, including 292 newly built houses and 101 repaired houses. Colonel Trieu Tuan Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, said: Implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Police have coordinated with construction teams in communes and towns to directly support the stages in the house construction process from dismantling houses, transporting materials, making foundations, digging foundations, mixing mortar to construction works... By mid-January 2025, all 292 newly built houses were completed on schedule. Immediately after completing the support for new construction, the Provincial Police continued to mobilize forces at the grassroots level to support the implementation of phase 2, repairing works, with a total of 68 houses. As a result, by March 29, the police force of communes and towns in Loc Binh district had supported the repair of 68/68 houses for families, reaching 100%, one month ahead of schedule according to the plan.

Or the youth union organizations at all levels have mobilized young people to contribute working days to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses according to Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. As a result, from 2024 to present, the youth union members of the whole province have supported the elimination of 320 temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total of more than 1,710 working days.

The above participation has demonstrated the spirit of solidarity, humanity, and joint efforts of the whole society so that no one is left behind and for the common development of the locality.

Warm in the house of love

With the participation of the entire political system, business community and society, the support for building and repairing houses for families according to Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee has achieved positive results.

As of April 17, 2025, the province has supported the construction of 951/951 new houses according to Resolution 188. For houses receiving repair support, as of April 17, 1,325/1,521 houses have been implemented, of which 1,251 houses have been completed and 195 houses have not been repaired. Thus, as of April 17, only 1 house has not been repaired. According to the plan, the projects are guaranteed to be completed before April 30 according to Resolution 188 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

Each house supported for new construction or repair has contributed to bringing a better life to families, especially poor households, near-poor households, those in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable groups in society.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, in Son Ha area, Na Duong town, Loc Binh district, whose family was supported to build a new house under Resolution 188, was moved: As a poor household, the burden of making a living for 5 people is all on the labor of the eldest son. After storm No. 3, the family's old house was about to collapse, I was very worried. With support under Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, in November 2024, I had a new, spacious, clean house with an area of 42 square meters. During the house construction process, I was supported by many officials and neighbors who helped with labor, helping my family soon have a new, spacious, and safe house. The house is like a solid "support" that helps my family gradually stabilize their lives.

Not only that, the beneficiaries themselves under the resolution also actively participated in supporting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses, helping each other to improve their lives. Mr. Hoang Van Tich, a near-poor household in Na Thuong village, Hoa Binh commune, Van Quan district shared: My family is a near-poor household and has been supported to build a new house under Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee since the end of 2024. During the construction process, I was enthusiastically helped by neighbors and relatives from transporting materials, supporting construction, contributing to reducing construction costs and speeding up progress, helping my family have a solid and safe house. I myself then actively participated in supporting the construction and repair of other houses in the area under this program.

It can be affirmed that the houses supported for new construction and repair according to Resolution No. 188 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee are works of national love and compatriotism, demonstrating the tradition of solidarity, mutual love, helping families to settle down and make a living. Moreover, there are works supporting families of policy beneficiaries and meritorious people, showing gratitude to the families, practically celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
