Accordingly, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just sent a document to the Department of Finance, Planning and Investment, Natural Resources and Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Construction and Da Lat City People's Committee regarding the revocation of the King Palace project (Tran Quang Dieu Street, Ward 10, Da Lat City) and the development of a plan to auction lease rights.
The document clearly states that, implementing the conclusion of the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee in the conclusion announcement No. 734-TB/TU dated April 16, the Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant Departments and the People's Committee of Da Lat City to request Hoan Cau Da Lat Joint Stock Company to stop operating the King Palace project and hand over assets and land of this project to the People's Committee of Da Lat City for management.
After the revocation, the authorities will develop a plan to auction the lease rights, submit for appraisal and approval to organize the auction in accordance with the direction of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, and report to Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee before April 30.
Before completing the auction, the People's Committee of Da Lat City is responsible for receiving and managing assets and land and organizing their protection and preservation, not allowing them to deteriorate, become damaged, or become deserted.
Palace I Dalat will be reclaimed and auctioned and leased.
It is known that Dinh I was built in the 1940s and put into tourism exploitation after 1975. In 2014, Hoan Cau Da Lat Joint Stock Company was approved by Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to rent Dinh I to implement the King Palace project.
By 2020, the Government Inspectorate requested the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to terminate the King Palace project and reclaim the land due to the enterprise's violations of land and investment laws.
In September 2021, the Department of Planning and Investment of Lam Dong province issued a decision to terminate the King Palace project and in June 2022, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued a decision to reclaim the land of this project. However, exploitation and business at Dinh I continued afterwards.
