On the morning of March 3, 2025, Lao Cai Provincial Department of Home Affairs organized a meeting with leaders, managers, civil servants, public employees and employees of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs about the Department of Home Affairs after the merger.

Attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Van Minh - Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Home Affairs; comrade Nguyen Thi Hai Anh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Former Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; comrades leading the Department of Home Affairs, leaders of departments, offices, units under the Department, and all comrades civil servants, public employees and workers.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Van Minh - Director of the Department of Home Affairs sent a warm welcome to all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to the Department of Home Affairs. He emphasized the importance of transferring tasks and functions between the two Departments, thereby creating opportunities to maximize work efficiency in the context of the state apparatus being streamlined and rationalized. He pointed out the challenges that the Department has to face when taking on a large amount of work, requiring great efforts and responsibility from each cadre, civil servant and public employee; hoping that the collective of cadres, civil servants and public employees in the Department will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, constantly study to improve professional qualifications, meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation, and excellently complete the assigned tasks.

Accordingly, implementing Resolution No. 06/NQ-HDND dated January 21, 2025 of the People's Council of Lao Cai province on the establishment of the Department of Home Affairs of Lao Cai province on the basis of merging the Department of Home Affairs with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, after the merger, the Department of Home Affairs of Lao Cai province has 09 departments, offices and affiliated units including: Department Office, Department of Civil Servants and Public Employees, Department of Organization and Personnel, Department of Government Building and Youth Work, Department of Administrative Reform - Archives, Department of People with Merits, Department of Labor - Employment - Social Insurance, Emulation - Reward Board, Center for Historical Archives, Center for Employment Services. The Department of Home Affairs of Lao Cai province is a specialized agency under the Provincial People's Committee, advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in performing the state management function on: Administrative organization, state career; local government, administrative unit boundaries; cadres, civil servants, public employees and public service; administrative reform; associations, non-governmental organizations; emulation, rewards; state documents and archives; youth; labor, wages; employment; social insurance; occupational safety and hygiene; meritorious people; gender equality.
