Funeral and condolence book opening ceremony for former President Tran Duc Luong in Slovakia

On May 25, the Vietnamese Embassy in Slovakia held a memorial service and opened a condolence book in memory of comrade Tran Duc Luong, former member of the Politburo and former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in accordance with the National Funeral protocol.

The ceremony took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, with the participation of all officers and staff of the Embassy and a large number of Vietnamese people.

Ambassador Pham Truong Giang, on behalf of the Embassy, reviewed the milestones in the tireless dedication of former President Tran Duc Luong - who left a deep mark in the process of innovation and international integration of Vietnam.

Representatives of the Vietnamese community in Slovakia signed the condolence book.

On behalf of all the people attending the funeral, the representative of the Vietnamese community in Slovakia signed the condolence book and expressed deep condolences at the passing of former President Tran Duc Luong.

International friends in Slovakia also sent letters of condolence, expressing their deep condolences and appreciating the role and contributions of former President Tran Duc Luong to the development of Vietnam as well as promoting cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and other countries and international partners.

The Embassy continues to open the Condolence Book for friends, partners and the community to come and pay their respects to former President Tran Duc Luong until May 27.
