Seminar "Aspiration to Contribute"

On January 19th, the People's Committee of Thong Nhat district ( Dong Nai province) organized a seminar between local Party committees and authorities with demobilized soldiers and young people preparing to enlist in 2025, with the theme "Aspiration for Contribution - Steadfast Steps Towards the Future".

Speaking at the seminar, Comrade Nguyen Huy Du, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Thong Nhat District Party Committee, emphasized: This is the second time Thong Nhat district has organized a seminar between the local Party committee and government with demobilized soldiers and young people preparing to enlist. The program is a new feature in the work of disseminating information and mobilizing young people to fulfill their military and public security service obligations.

In 2025, with the theme "Aspiration for Contribution - Steadfast Steps Towards the Future," the seminar will be an opportunity for Party committees and authorities at all levels to meet, encourage, and listen to the thoughts and feelings of young people preparing to enlist; a forum for officers and soldiers of the armed forces to share information about the military and police environment with young people.

This is also an opportunity to recognize and honor the contributions of exemplary families and outstanding individuals in the selection and recruitment of citizens for military service in the past period.

Furthermore, the program demonstrates the concern of the entire political system, the commitment and support of business leaders in the area, and religious dignitaries in mobilizing all resources to care for the welfare of military personnel, provide career guidance, and create jobs for soldiers who have completed their military and public security service .

During this year's military recruitment drive, Thong Nhat district has hundreds of young men enlisting to fulfill their duty to protect the Fatherland. A prime example is the twin brothers Tran Thien Phuc and Tran Thien Duc, residing in Gia Tan 2 commune, who volunteered for military service and were selected for military service in 2025.

During the exchange, Tran Thien Phuc expressed: “I know that in the military environment, every soldier will be trained in discipline and determination. That is my greatest desire to progress and grow. During the training process, I will strive to achieve the best results, contributing to building a stronger unit.”

Thong Nhat district has over 87% of its population following a religion, primarily Catholicism. The District Military Service Council has maximized the role of religious leaders in propagating and mobilizing religious youth to enthusiastically enlist and fulfill their civic duty.

Father Ngo Cong Su, Deputy Director of the Our Lady of Mount Cui Center, Dean of Gia Kiem Deanery, and Parish Priest of Ninh Phat Parish, shared: "We always remind the faithful to revere God, love their country, live the Gospel in the heart of the nation, and fulfill their civic duties to the Fatherland. In reality, Catholic youths who complete their military service and return to their localities are more mature, independent, and decisive. These are role models for other young people to learn from and emulate."

At the seminar, the leaders of Thong Nhat district and the District Military Command awarded outstanding individuals and presented gifts to young people preparing to enlist in the army in 2025.
