On October 6, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with the Institute of Party History, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize a scientific seminar on "Research, application and creative development of Ho Chi Minh's thought in building great solidarity in the renovation period through the practice of Quang Ninh province". Attending the seminar were comrades: Nguyen Hong Duong, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Danh Tien, Director of the Institute of Party History, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
At the seminar, experts and scientists focused on clarifying the concept and connotation of Ho Chi Minh's thought on great national unity and building the great national unity bloc; Ho Chi Minh's thought on building the great national unity bloc in the community of Vietnamese ethnic groups and its application in the renovation period; Ho Chi Minh's thought on promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc in building and developing the country and its application in the renovation period.
In Quang Ninh, Party committees at all levels have proactively studied and applied Ho Chi Minh's thought on promoting the strength of national solidarity in local construction and development. National pride and the tradition of the working class in the mining area of "Discipline and Unity" have been consolidated and promoted. Especially in the recent period, many contents on building a great solidarity bloc have been applied by Party committees according to Ho Chi Minh's thought, concretized into plans, programs, resolutions, directives and implemented with results, such as: Building new rural areas; poverty reduction; site clearance for highway construction; prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemic, the model of "unification" of the position of Party cell secretary who is also the head of the village, hamlet, and neighborhood...
Speaking at the seminar, Comrade Nguyen Hong Duong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, affirmed that with the local characteristics of having a border on the sea and on land, the province always emphasizes the building of great national unity to not only fulfill the socio-economic development goals, but also contribute to maintaining political stability. The Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 17 on building and promoting cultural values and human strength of Quang Ninh to become an endogenous resource, a driving force for rapid and sustainable development, this is the foundation for building the great national unity of the province.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Danh Tien, Director of the Institute of Party History, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, emphasized: The scientific seminar is within the framework of the task of the State-level scientific topic: "Research, application and creative development of Ho Chi Minh's thought in building the great national unity bloc in the renovation period". Through the actual survey and sharing on the research, application and creative development of Ho Chi Minh's thought in building the great national unity bloc in the renovation period at the seminar, it was shown that Quang Ninh province has promoted the combined strength of all classes of people and social components, thereby helping the province achieve outstanding development achievements that bring benefits and happiness to the people in the recent period. This will be important practical data for the working group to continue researching and supplementing to complete the above-mentioned state-level scientific topic.
