In particular, the most impressive highlight of the opening ceremony was the innovative way the Olympic flame was lit. Simultaneously with the torch being passed from hand to hand by athletes and former athletes representing China, a virtual flame was also projected onto the Hangzhou Olympic Stadium using projection technology.
