On the afternoon of April 9, the 5th Conference of the Presidents of the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Front took place in the capital city of Vientiane. This is a meaningful activity in the long-term, stable and developing cooperative relationship between the three Front organizations of Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam.
On the same afternoon, the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front led by Chairman Do Van Chien was warmly received by General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith.
At the meeting, Chairman Do Van Chien reported to the General Secretary and President of Laos on the results of cooperation between the two agencies of the Vietnam-Laos Front in recent times, as well as the great success of the 5th Conference of Chairmen of the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Fronts that took place previously.
According to Chairman Do Van Chien, at the end of the Conference, the three sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Cooperation Program for the period 2024-2027; affirming that in the coming time, the three Front organizations will focus on coordinating to effectively implement the contents of the signed Memorandum of Understanding, focusing on strengthening professional cooperation activities, exchanging work experiences; actively propagating and educating the people, especially the young generation, about the spirit of great friendship and special solidarity between Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam...
At the reception, President Do Van Chien expressed his joy and honor to meet again with Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith in the beautiful country of Laos. He sincerely thanked Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith for taking the precious time to receive the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on the occasion of attending the 5th Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Presidents' Conference.
On this occasion, President Do Van Chien respectfully conveyed to Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith the warm regards and best wishes of health from General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other senior leaders of Vietnam.
Chairman Do Van Chien introduced the delegates attending the delegation, including Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Laos, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy and other comrades in the delegation.

On this occasion, President Do Van Chien sent his congratulations on the great, comprehensive, and historic achievements that the Lao people have achieved in the renovation process, demonstrating socio-political stability, guaranteed national defense and security, socio-economic development, and active foreign affairs.
President Do Van Chien deeply believes that, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party headed by Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith, on the basis of promoting the achievements and valuable experiences after more than 37 years of Doi Moi, the comrades will overcome the current difficulties, the country and people of Laos will continue to gain many new and greater achievements, successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress and the 9th Socio-Economic Development Plan for the period 2021-2025, successfully organize the three-level Party Congress towards the 12th National Party Congress; successfully build a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos according to the socialist goal.
“I am very pleased with the outstanding achievements in the Vietnam-Laos cooperation relationship in recent times in various fields. In February 2024, Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith and comrades in the Politburo and Secretariat of Laos visited Vietnam to attend the annual meeting between the two Parties. The meeting is the highest and most important cooperation mechanism between the two Parties and the two countries, which was successfully organized, continuing to be an important highlight guiding the cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries in 2024 and the coming years. The Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam will soon issue a plan to direct all levels and sectors to implement the Vietnam-Laos High-Level Agreement.
On this occasion, I sincerely thank the Party, State, Lao Front for National Construction and the Lao people for their great support and assistance to Vietnam over the past time. The Party, State and people of Vietnam in general and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in particular will make every effort to accompany, stand side by side and support our Lao comrades to overcome current challenges together as well as to preserve, nurture and develop the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos,” said President Do Van Chien.
According to Chairman Do Van Chien, the Lao Front for National Construction has coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front to seriously and effectively implement the Cooperation Agreement between the two organizations for the period 2022-2027 through regularly organizing exchange activities, contacts, and sharing experiences in Front work. The two sides will continue to promote practical activities, strengthen extensive propaganda to all classes of people about the special relationship, glorious and heroic history of Vietnam-Laos relations, raise awareness and responsibility of each individual in jointly cultivating and promoting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
Chairman Do Van Chien also asked the General Secretary and President to pay attention to and support the Trilateral Front to cooperate effectively and successfully.
On the occasion of the upcoming Lao traditional New Year Bun Pi May, President Do Van Chien respectfully wishes Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith and all Lao cadres and party members a happy new year, prosperity, good health and greater achievements in their noble positions. Wishing our Lao friends to successfully organize foreign affairs activities in 2024, including assuming the role of ASEAN Chair and AIPA 45 Chair. In the past time, Vietnam has provided much support and assistance to Laos in terms of equipment, human resources, and resources, and affirmed that in the coming time, within its capacity, Vietnam will continue to support, assist and support Laos to successfully fulfill its role as ASEAN Chair, contributing to constantly enhancing Laos' position and prestige in the region and the world.

General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith welcomed and highly appreciated the results of the work between the three Front organizations of the three countries, affirming that this will contribute to further deepening the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Emphasizing that in the coming time, the two Lao-Vietnam Front organizations in particular and the three Lao-Cambodia-Vietnam Front organizations in general need to continue to coordinate closely, increase information and experience exchange, and cooperate and help each other to strengthen the relationship between the three Front organizations of the three countries in particular and the relationship between the three countries in general.
General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith welcomed the initiative of a mechanism to organize the Conference of Presidents of the Fatherland Fronts of the three countries in rotation along with the mechanism of annual meetings between the leaders of the Parties and Governments of the three countries.
General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith sent special regards to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and senior leaders of the two parties and two states, and hoped that the Trilateral Front would continue to promote its role as a representative of the people of the three countries, contributing to fostering the friendship and closeness between the three countries.

The 5th Conference of the Presidents of the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Fronts was held successfully and achieved good results. The three sides agreed to sign the Memorandum of Understanding on the Cooperation Program for the period 2024-2027 within the framework of the Conference. In the coming time, the three Front organizations will focus on coordinating to effectively implement the contents of the signed Memorandum of Understanding, especially strengthening professional cooperation activities, exchanging work experiences; actively propagating and educating the people, especially the young generation, about the spirit of great friendship and special solidarity of Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam.
