Etno-Aul vividly recreates the life and culture of Kazakh nomads. Here, the two leaders visited and learned about national historical sites, traditional craft villages; enjoyed music , experienced nomadic culture, folk games, and hunting customs.
The President of Kazakhstan invited General Secretary To Lam to participate in Kazakhstan's traditional custom of cutting the thread around the foot of a one-year-old baby to wish the baby good luck and happiness.
The Ethnic Culture Village is located near the Kazanat horse racing track in the capital Astana. The complex covers an area of about 2,500 square meters. The village has 30 traditional tents designed in an ancient style, giving visitors a genuine experience of nomadic life.
Etno-Aul is not only an exhibition space but also a center for organizing unique cultural events. Visitors can participate in music festivals, handicraft fairs, folk games such as archery, horseback riding and other traditional sports , as well as traditional food fairs.
A special highlight of Etno-Aul is the combination of tradition and modernity. In 2024, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) set up a separate tent in this area to organize educational and recreational activities for children, including traditional games, craft experiences and interactive activities to promote inclusion and protect children's rights.
With its diverse range of activities and programs, it is not only a living museum of culture but also an engaging educational and entertainment center.
