On the evening of February 20th, at the National Special Monument of the tombs and temples of the Tran Dynasty kings (Tien Duc commune, Hung Ha district), the dress rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the 2014 Tran Temple Festival took place. Attending the rehearsal was Ms. Tran Thi Bich Hang, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Steering Committee for the 2024 Tran Temple Festival.

The opening ceremony of the Tran Temple Festival began with a pre-live broadcast program including an opening art performance, honoring and awarding certificates to sponsors; the live broadcast, starting at 8:10 PM, featured the drum performance "Long Hung - The Tran Dynasty Temple", a semi-realistic play combined with 3D mapping "The Glorious Realm of Southern Heaven" consisting of four acts, a worship ceremony, and a documentary about the special national historical site of the mausoleum and temple of the Tran Dynasty kings "Hung Ha - A Sacred Land of History". The program included performances by artists and actors from the Vietnam Traditional Opera Theatre and students from Hung Nhan High School (Hung Ha).

Speaking at the dress rehearsal, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and other delegates contributed ideas on adjusting the sound, lighting, and props to suit each act in the semi-realistic performance. He suggested that in each scene, the event organizers should enhance the lighting appropriately on the central characters to create emphasis and clearly convey the meaning of all three acts of the performance. He also emphasized the importance of smooth scene transitions to create a seamless flow between the different parts of the opening ceremony program.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also offered suggestions regarding the placement of the drum for the opening ceremony and the podium for the provincial leaders' speeches at the opening ceremony, emphasizing solemnity and dignity. The units implementing the program coordinated closely in terms of content and timing of the festival activities, contributing to ensuring the opening ceremony was a resounding success, providing residents and tourists with a profound, impressive, and captivating experience that showcased the unique culture of Thai Binh province and its people.

The semi-realistic performance is titled "The Glorious Hero of the Southern Sky."

The opening ceremony of the Tran Temple Festival officially took place at 8:10 PM on February 22nd (the 13th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Dragon). Organizing the Tran Temple Festival is a special event, providing an opportunity for the locality to promote the historical and cultural values of the Tran Temple to a wide audience both domestically and internationally.
