Turkish Ambassador to Egypt Salih Mutlu Şen said that the two sides are preparing for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Cairo.
The Turkish President is expected to hold talks with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel-Fatteh El-Sisi amid high expectations for a new chapter in relations between the two countries.
It is not yet clear when the visit will take place. However, in a speech late last month, Mr Erdogan said he was considering a trip to Egypt “as soon as possible”.

Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen shared these updates during a reception marking the 100th anniversary of Türkiye's National Day at his home in Giza.
The diplomat highlighted the close relations and long-standing cultural ties between Turkey and Egypt. Mentioning the pivotal role of trade and economy, anticipating increased Turkish investments in Egypt, the Ambassador expressed confidence in improving the ease of doing business and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Referring to regional stability, Ambassador Sen said that the strong relationship between Türkiye and Egypt contributes to ensuring security and development in the Eastern Mediterranean.
However, he also expressed concern over the conflict in the Gaza Strip, condemned attacks that have caused civilian casualties and supported an end to the bloodshed. He stressed Türkiye's commitment to supporting Egypt in providing humanitarian aid, establishing field hospitals and contributing to the reconstruction of Gaza.
Egyptian President El-Sisi and his counterpart Erdogan held an extended meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit in India in September, the first such meeting between the two heads of state since the two countries restored diplomatic relations in early summer, ending a 10-year rift.
