Note that MPGe stands for "Miles Per Gallon Equivalent," a measure of fuel efficiency used for electric and hybrid vehicles that equates to the number of miles a car can travel on a gallon of fuel (or the amount of electricity equivalent to a gallon of fuel).

MPGe is a unit that allows consumers to easily compare the fuel economy of electric vehicles with that of traditional gasoline vehicles.
