The two teams U11 Quang Nam (red) and U11 Lang Son entered the opening match.
Attending the opening ceremony were writer and journalist Nguyen Phan Khue - Member of the Central Council of Young Pioneers, Editor-in-Chief of the Tien Phong and Nhi Dong Newspapers, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament; Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Trang - Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation, Co-Head of the Organizing Committee and representatives of accompanying units.
Entering its 28th year, this year's final round brings together the 16 best teams in the 11-year-old age group, including: Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Hai Duong, Thai Binh , Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Viet Hung Thanh Hoa, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, T&T VSH, Quang Nam, Dak Lak, Rosarock Ngoc Hung, Binh Duong, Becamex Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
The teams will compete in Da Nang from July 22 to August 1.
Leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation and the Organizing Committee presented flowers, flags and took souvenir photos with the teams participating in the final round.
The 2025 season marks the 20-year milestone of Nestlé MILO accompanying Vietnamese youth football, through the “Dynamic Vietnam” program. This is a sustainable journey that contributes to promoting the physical and mental development of the young generation.
With 54 teams and more than 1,000 young players participating from the qualifying round, this year's tournament recorded a record number throughout its history, showing that football is increasingly spreading widely, touching the hearts of children across the country.
Head of the Organizing Committee - Mr. Nguyen Phan Khue delivered the opening speech.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, writer and journalist Nguyen Phan Khue emphasized: “This is not only an annual sports tournament, but also an inspirational journey, where dreams take flight, where young hearts begin to write stories of passion and aspiration.”
Right after the opening ceremony, the opening match between the home team U11 Quang Nam and U11 Lang Son took place with a 2-1 victory for U11 Lang Son.
The tournament matches will continue to take place at Quang Nam Stadium from July 22 to August 1.
