Nearly 5 years after the fourth generation was launched, the new 2025 Toyota Harrier brings many notable changes, especially the appearance of the Nightshade Edition with a sporty style, along with a series of upgrades in equipment and safety. On the newly launched 2025 Toyota Harrier SUV, the car retains the same overall design but has been significantly refined in the list of standard equipment and driver assistance technology. This is a strategic move in the context of increasingly fierce competition in the mid-size SUV segment, especially with the strong rise of Korean and Chinese rivals.
One of the big highlights of this upgrade is that all versions of the Toyota Harrier 2025 are equipped with the latest Toyota Safety Sense safety package. The system is improved with the ability to detect bicycles and motorbikes better in all lighting conditions. Lane departure warning on the new generation Toyota Harrier 2025 has been supplemented with active intervention, while blind spot warning now integrates Safe Exit Assist. Harrier 2025 has for the first time the Professional Driving Assist system - supporting steering and light braking in complex traffic situations, helping to improve safety and comfort when driving in urban areas. In addition, a heated steering wheel and heated front seats become standard equipment on all versions, providing greater comfort for users in the Japanese market with harsh winters.
In this major upgrade, the car has added the Nightshade Edition version. This new version is developed based on the Harrier Z configuration, using a self-charging hybrid powertrain, with the option of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (E-Four). As the name suggests, this variant is defined by a strong “dark” style: dark-painted headlights, a glossy black grille, side skirts, front bumper and 19-inch alloy wheels are also black. The Harrier and hybrid logos at the rear are also painted black, while some chrome details are retained for a subtle accent. Inside, the interior continues to be faithful to the minimalist philosophy, using black leather seats and an optional premium leather package. Toyota has not changed the powertrain of the 2025 Harrier. The car still has three options: pure gasoline, self-charging hybrid and plug-in hybrid. Of which, the Nightshade Edition version only has the self-charging hybrid option.
In Japan, the starting price of the 2025 Toyota Harrier is 3,710,300 yen (about 666.5 million VND) for the standard gasoline engine, front-wheel drive version. The highest-end version uses a plug-in hybrid engine, four-wheel drive, priced up to 6,260,100 yen (about 1.12 billion VND). The Nightshade Edition alone is priced from 4,870,800 - 5,410,900 yen (equivalent to 877.4 - 973.8 billion VND), depending on the configuration and equipment. The car has three paint colors: Black, Precious Black Pearl and Platinum White Pearl Mica. Toyota also continues to offer genuine upgrade accessory packages from Modellista and GR Parts for customers who love personalization, while maintaining the elegant design style with the characteristic coupe, which has made the Harrier attractive over the years.
