Toyota Land Cruiser Prado van version with 2,000 liter trunk

In addition to introducing the mild hybrid version of the new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250 Series, the Japanese automaker also launched the all-new Land Cruiser Commercial SUV in the European market. As the name suggests, this is the cargo van version of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250 Series in the old continent. At the same time, this is also the most premium commercial vehicle in the Toyota Professional line.
The Toyota Land Cruiser Commercial has been tweaked to prioritise cargo space over passengers. The conversion from standard to commercial version was carried out at Toyota Manufacturing UK in Burnaston, Derbyshire, UK. Accordingly, the car has removed the rear seats and installed steel panels inside. The car is equipped with a ceiling-high metal partition with a steel mesh upper part to ensure that the rear area has no windows looking out. The rear cargo compartment of the Toyota Land Cruiser Commercial has specific dimensions including height 1,090 mm, length 1,685 mm and maximum width 1,286 mm. The rear trunk capacity according to VDA standards reaches 2,000 liters. In addition, the vehicle can also tow loads up to 3.5 tons. The old generation Toyota Land Cruiser Prado also had a commercial version in the European market. However, this successor version has been upgraded significantly in terms of equipment. In addition, the car also has automatic anti-glare rearview mirrors, heated front seats/steering wheel, electronic handbrake, dual-zone automatic air conditioning and a 9-inch central touch screen, supporting Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity. The Toyota Safety Sense active safety package is also equipped for this model. Under the hood of the Toyota Land Cruiser Commercial is a 2.8L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. Combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission and full-time 4-wheel drive system. This engine produces a maximum capacity of 201 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. Off-road features include Crawl Control, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control and selectable drive modes. Toyota has confirmed that the Land Cruiser Commercial will also get a mild hybrid version like the 48V Land Cruiser Hybrid in the future.
As the leading model of Toyota Professional line, Land Cruiser Commercial is an attractive choice for customers who do not need large cargo capacity or extra seats like Hilux. "Although it is a commercial vehicle, the Land Cruiser Commercial still wants to have strong off-road performance, stable operation on the road and full standard amenities and safety," Toyota affirmed in a press release. The Land Cruiser Commercial will officially go on sale in the UK from August 1st at a price of £52,729 (about VND1.87 billion) and deliveries will begin in September. This figure is significantly lower than its segment rival, the Land Rover Defender Hard Top 110, which starts at £66,566 (VND2.36 billion).
