Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 23, under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, dispatched 10 officers and soldiers along with equipment to the scene. Because the incident area was far from the main road, specialized vehicles could not access the site, so the rescue team had to carry their equipment and traverse a distance of more than 1 km through dense groves to carry out the rescue operation.
At the scene, the victim was conscious but panicked, trapped in a confined space, posing a risk of oxygen deprivation. Rescue forces quickly deployed a rescue plan, using a ladder as an anchor point, setting up a pulley system, and sending personnel down the well to reach the victim. They also reassured the victim and provided oxygen to sustain life.

After more than an hour of effort, at 3:48 PM on the same day, the victim was safely brought to the surface and handed over to the family, while medical personnel continued to provide care.
According to representatives of the authorities, rescue operations in confined spaces and at great depths require officers and soldiers to be highly trained, possess strong character, and handle situations flexibly in the absence of specialized equipment.
