Ho Chi Minh City: Do not accept flowers and gifts to congratulate the Party Congress

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office has just issued a notice on not accepting gifts and congratulatory flowers for the 1st City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. This is a directive to practice thrift, while ensuring absolute security and safety during the Congress.

Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025 - 2030 term.

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office requests that agencies, units and individuals do not send congratulatory gifts and flowers. Instead, the Congress Organizing Committee needs the coordination, attention and sense of responsibility of the units to contribute to the overall success of this important political event.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office also announced the schedule of activities of delegates attending the Congress. The Congress will take place from October 13 to 15, including preparatory sessions, official sessions and closing.

The new point of this Congress is the implementation of the spirit of comprehensive digital transformation: delegates will not use paper documents (except confidential documents), but will instead use tablets to access all relevant information and documents. The City Party Committee Office recommends that each delegate bring an electronic device, and limit the carrying of handbags and personal items other than the equipped items.

Before the Congress, on October 11 and 12, delegates will participate in activities to visit typical economic , cultural, social, defense and security projects and models in the city. This is considered an opportunity for delegates to gain more practical perspectives, serving the discussion and contributing to the Congress documents.

Notably, the Congress Document Subcommittee has completed the draft Political Report, presenting the goal of building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promoting the strength of national solidarity; making science, technology, innovation and the private economy become driving forces for development; mobilizing and effectively using all resources so that Ho Chi Minh City can pioneer with the whole country in the new era.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 is considered a political event of special importance, shaping the development strategy of the "super city" in the new period. The implementation of thrift, application of digital technology and careful organization from the beginning shows the City's determination to innovate, be effective and safe in the preparation work.
