Instead of keeping or using this large amount of property, Mr. Thai quickly contacted the local police to return it all to Ms. Thu. This action of Mr. Thai has been recognized and highly appreciated by the authorities as well as the community.

Sharing about this, Mr. Nguyen Sy Thai said: " When I found such a large amount of property, I immediately thought of finding a way to return it to the owner. Although that amount of money and property could help me a lot, it is not mine. I just want to do the right thing, contributing to building a better society."

Receiving the lost property, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu emotionally said: On the morning of May 31, 2024, she traveled on some routes and stopped at a coffee shop in Bon U3, Ea T'ling town to drink water. Then she discovered that her handbag contained cash and property worth over 200 million VND along with some other valuable papers, but she did not remember where and when she dropped it. After searching for a while without success, she went to the Ea T'ling town police for help.

“I was surprised and fortunately, only about 30 minutes later, I received information from the Ea T'ling Town Police that a young man, an employee of the Ven Do Coffee Shop in Bon U3, Ea T'ling Town, had picked it up and handed it over to the police. I was very happy and excited. I would like to thank the police and the young man (I later learned that it was Nguyen Sy Thai). Thai's beautiful act of picking up lost property and returning it to its owner is admirable and should be commended and spread throughout society,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu.

With this noble and humane gesture, Ea T'ling Town Police proposed that the Chairman of the Town People's Committee commend and reward Nguyen Sy Thai for his beautiful action.
