On the afternoon of July 23, continuing the activities of the Vietnam Summer Camp 2025, a delegation of overseas Vietnamese youth and students visited the Kim Lien relic site, the paternal and maternal hometowns of President Ho Chi Minh in Nghe An.
The entire Kim Lien relic site covers an area of over 205 hectares with many relic sites. The sites and relic clusters are 2 to 10km apart, including the relic cluster of Hoang Tru village (Chua village) - Uncle Ho's maternal hometown, the relic cluster of Sen village - Uncle Ho's paternal hometown, the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - Uncle Ho's mother...
In 2012, Kim Lien relic site was recognized as a special national relic site. This is the honor of the Party, State and people for President Ho Chi Minh; it is a sacred place in the hearts of every Vietnamese person and international friends. The relic site also has great significance in educating future generations about the shining example of President Ho Chi Minh.
Under the guidance of the Relic Site Management Board, overseas Vietnamese burned incense and offered flowers at the altar of President Ho Chi Minh. During the Vietnam Summer Camp 2025 journey, overseas Vietnamese youth and students learned more about his years of revolutionary activities. Everyone was proud of their homeland and country for giving birth to a genius leader.
Coming to Kim Lien relic site, young people learned more about President Ho Chi Minh's childhood years in his hometown. Here, the group could see the simple thatched roof house, the objects that were associated with his childhood, and listen to touching stories about the time Uncle Ho lived in Sen village.

In a solemn atmosphere, a delegation of overseas Vietnamese youth and students came to offer incense at the Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh in Kim Lien village, his paternal hometown.
Sharing with TG&VN , Bui Hoang Ngoc, a Vietnamese expatriate in Australia, proudly expressed: "I am studying and living in Western Australia. Although the Vietnamese community here is quite small, the special thing is that every house hangs and worships Uncle Ho's picture.
Just like in Vietnam, the Vietnamese community in my area has the highest respect for President Ho Chi Minh. Today, the journey to visit both his paternal and maternal hometowns is a valuable experience that young overseas Vietnamese like us do not always have the opportunity to participate in.

For Nguyen Van Co, who is living and studying in Cambodia, the trip was also an extremely valuable experience.
“Returning to President Ho Chi Minh's homeland not only helps us understand more about culture and history, but is also an opportunity to improve our Vietnamese language skills; approach and understand more deeply the cultural roots of the Vietnamese people,” Nguyen Van Co shared.
Many overseas Vietnamese youth were moved to tears when they returned to Uncle Ho's homeland for the first time, standing in front of the thatched-roof house hidden under bamboo and areca trees... simple, rustic, and familiar. From there, they became more aware of the responsibility of young people to live, study, and work more worthy of the contributions and sacrifices of Uncle Ho and the heroes and martyrs who fell for today's peaceful life.
