Regarding medical examination and treatment, the Ministry of Health recommends that medical stations perform first aid and emergency care; perform medical examination and treatment under health insurance, outpatient treatment, and rehabilitation in the community within the scope of professional activities approved by competent authorities according to legal regulations; perform techniques, procedures, and surgeries and transfer patients to medical examination and treatment facilities according to legal regulations.

Perform tests, diagnostic imaging and functional examinations to serve professional and technical activities according to the functions and tasks of the station and the needs of the people as prescribed by law; treat diseases using medicinal and non-pharmacological methods.

Commune and ward health stations organize monitoring, medication provision, and treatment for people with chronic diseases in the area; coordinate medical examination and assessment according to the provisions of law; participate in forensic examination and assessment when requested; conduct preliminary examination for military service according to regulations.

The arrangement of inpatient beds at the commune health station is suitable to actual needs, proposed by the station head to the commune-level People's Committee for consultation and submitted to the competent authority for decision.
