Awarding 60 "Support to School" scholarships to new students and students in difficult circumstances

This morning, October 5, the Organizing Committee of the Program "Homeland Heart - Support to School" including units: Provincial Association for Promotion of Education, Quang Tri Newspaper, Quang Tri Radio - Television, Departmentof Education and Training, Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union organized the 21st "Support to School" scholarship awarding ceremony in 2024 for new students and pupils facing difficult circumstances. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong attended the ceremony.

At the program, the Organizing Committee of the Program "Homeland Heart - Support to School" awarded 30 scholarships, each worth 10 million VND to 30 new students with especially difficult circumstances; 13 scholarships, each worth 5 million VND to 13 new students with difficult circumstances; 9 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND to 9 new students; 7 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND to poor students and students with disabilities in the 2024 - 2025 school year. The Center for Knowledge and Compassion awarded a long-term scholarship worth 5 million VND/school year to 1 student of Hai Lang High School.

It is known that in 2003, the scholarship program "Homeland Heart - Support to School" was organized and quickly received the attention of local authorities and authorities as well as the response of many organizations, individuals, units, and businesses inside and outside the province to join hands to help poor students reduce their worries about going to school.

Over the past 21 years (from 2003 to present), the "Support to School" scholarship has been awarded to 4,000 new students with difficulties to attend university and college with a total amount of more than 15 billion VND.
