This is the 9th award ceremony of the contest to honor outstanding journalistic works and dedicated authors writing about the operation and development of the Finance industry.
The contest "The 9th National Journalism Award on Finance in 2025" contributes to clarifying the milestones and glorious marks in the 80-year history of the construction and development of the Finance sector; affirming the important role of the Finance sector in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, and at the same time, through press works on the Finance sector, it is possible to propose practical and effective solutions to contribute to building a strong national finance.
Through each period, the contest has attracted increasingly enthusiastic and responsible responses from many press agencies and dedicated authors nationwide. The number of press agencies and authors submitting entries to the contest increases each year and the quality of the works is increasingly innovative and creative.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Finance , Mr. Nguyen Duc Chi - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry, Deputy Minister of Finance , Head of the Organizing Committee emphasized: "This year's competition is especially meaningful, associated with the event of the Finance sector celebrating 80 years of establishment and development. I am very excited because the nominations of this year's award have covered all economic and financial fields and outstanding events, clarifying the milestones in the 80-year history of establishment and development of the Finance sector, affirming the role of the Finance sector in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
This year's contest attracted nearly 2,750 entries from press agencies nationwide, demonstrating the strong influence and deep interest of the press in the Finance industry.
Through 2 preliminary and final rounds, the results of the "9th National Journalism Award on Finance in 2025" contest, the Organizing Committee and the Final Council of the Contest have selected outstanding works to award prizes. Accordingly, the Special Prize was awarded to a group of authors from the News Department of Vietnam Television with a series of television reports: The Insurance Industry strives to support and compensate customers affected by storm No. 3 ( Yagi ).
The contest awarded 04 A prizes, 20 B prizes, 28 C prizes for outstanding works. At the same time, the Minister of Finance decided to award certificates of merit to 9 press agencies with outstanding achievements in the success of the contest and positive contributions to the results of information and propaganda work in the field of finance and investment.
VietNamNet Newspaper was honored to receive the B Prize with the series of articles "Agricultural insurance is a lifeline for farmers", which was carried out right after Typhoon Yagi in September 2024.
Also at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee of the Ministry and the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Nguyen Duc Chi - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry, Deputy Minister of Finance officially launched the contest "The 10th National Press Award on the Finance Sector in 2027", on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Finance Sector (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2027).
