The "National Journalism Award on Finance" contest has been held since 2006 and 2025 is the 9th award ceremony of the contest to honor typical press works and dedicated authors writing about the operation and development of the Finance industry.
This is a meaningful and timely activity to encourage and create interest among reporters and editors of news agencies and newspapers in actively informing and propagating the Party and State's policies and guidelines on the economic and financial fields and the activities of the financial sector.

According to the Organizing Committee of the contest, the 9th National Journalism Award on Finance in 2025 continues to have innovations compared to previous editions, when the leaders of the Ministry of Finance decided to expand the categories of entries to include works in 4 types of journalism: print, electronic, radio and television, actively encouraging and motivating journalists and authors to be enthusiastic in writing news and articles about the Finance sector.


The number of press agencies and authors submitting articles increased with 2,750 works covering all four types of press such as print, radio, television, and electronic. The quality of the works has many innovations, diverse genres, rich topics, closely following events, and addressing many new issues that have been and are being raised in the economic and financial development of the country.

Through 2 preliminary and final rounds, the results of the "9th National Journalism Award on Finance in 2025" contest, the Organizing Committee and the Final Council of the Contest have selected outstanding works to award prizes. Accordingly, the Special Prize was awarded to the group of authors: Cao Thi Thanh Tra, Vu Van Nhat of the News Department of Vietnam Television with a series of television reports: The Insurance industry strives to support and compensate customers affected by storm No. 3 ( Yagi ).
The contest awarded 4 A prizes, 20 B prizes, and 28 C prizes to outstanding works. Of which, author Luu Thi Le Thuy, pen name Ha An - CAND Newspaper - won C prize with the work: Applying AI to detect stock market manipulation.
At the same time, the Minister of Finance decided to award certificates of merit to 9 press agencies with outstanding achievements in the success of the contest and positive contributions to the results of information and propaganda work in the field of finance and investment.
Also at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Chi, Deputy Minister of Finance, officially launched the contest "The 10th National Journalism Award on Finance in 2027", on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Finance Sector (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2027).
