Can Tho and Khanh Hoa youths won the 2x2 team beach volleyball tournament 2025

On October 16, at Hau River Park, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City held the opening ceremony of the national championship and awarded the national youth championship in 2x2 team beach volleyball in 2025.

The tournament gathered 132 athletes from 9 units: Hai Phong, Military Zone 5, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Long, An Giang and host city Can Tho. Of which, the national youth tournament had 60 athletes, the national championship had 72 athletes.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Truong Cong Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, said that the 2x2 team beach volleyball tournament is an important tournament in the national sports tournament system. This is a traditional annual tournament held in Can Tho City, aiming to promote training and build a force of beach volleyball athletes nationwide.

Over the years, the tournament has shown the continuous investment and progress of the participating teams. With the above important goal, the Organizing Committee hopes that the athletes will show their determination and compete with the spirit of dedication to have exciting and attractive matches.

After the opening ceremony, the national 2x2 team beach volleyball championship took place and competed until October 19.

Previously, from October 12, the national youth championship had competed and determined the owners of the medals. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded the winning teams.

In the women's category, the first prize went to Can Tho City team; the second prize went to An Giang team; and the two teams of Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong shared the third prize. In the men's category, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa team won the first prize, Ho Chi Minh City 1 team won the second prize, and the third prize went to Ho Chi Minh City 3 and Military Zone 5 teams.
